Naphthalene Superplasticizer Liquid — Finished High-Range Water Reducer
Ready-to-dose SNF (sodium naphthalene sulfonate formaldehyde) admixture for ready-mix plants, mass concrete pours and cost-sensitive tenders. Third-party tested at 23% water reduction.
Product Overview
This is a finished naphthalene superplasticizer liquid — not a mother liquor or an intermediate requiring compounding at your end. You dose it directly into the mixer, which matters if you are a distributor without blending capacity or a ready-mix operator who wants to add a second source without changing the plant setup.
- Chemistry: sodium naphthalene sulfonate formaldehyde condensate
- Form: dark brown to black liquid, ready to dose
- Reported water reduction: 23% (third-party test, standard-type sample)
- Reported solid content: 38.04%
- Supplied with batch COA, TDS and SDS
Key Benefits
Lower purchase cost
A lower price per tonne than PCE, which matters directly when tender price decides the contract.
High cement tolerance
Behaves consistently even when cement quality or fines content fluctuate between deliveries.
Low air entrainment
Reported air content of 1.8% suits mixes where excessive air compromises strength or finish.
Predictable behaviour
A chemistry that plant operators in most markets already understand, with fewer surprises during ramp-up.
High solid content
38.04% reported solids — compare the cost per unit of active material, not just per tonne of liquid.
Second-source ready
Practical redundancy alongside an existing PCE supplier, without changing the entire dosing practice.
Technical Specifications
Results below come from the 2025 third-party inspection report by Guangdong Guangye Inspection and Testing Group, evaluated against GB 8076-2008 (dated 2025-04-16) for the standard-type sample.
| Property | Reported value | Test basis |
|---|---|---|
| Water reduction rate | 23% | GB 8076-2008 |
| Solid content | 38.04% | GB 8076-2008 |
| Air content | 1.8% | GB 8076-2008 |
| Chloride ion content | 0.055% | GB 8076-2008 |
| Total alkali content | 4.42% | GB 8076-2008 |
| Sodium sulphate content | 0.12% | GB 8076-2008 |
| Dosage used in the test | 2.0% | Trial condition only |
| Flash point behaviour | No flash observed up to 110.0°C; sample boiled | GB/T 5208-2008, GB/T 3536-2008 |
Specification status: treat these as reported sample results. The binding commercial specification — solid content tolerance, density, pH, sodium sulphate limit, recommended dosage range, storage conditions and shelf life — is issued per confirmed grade in the current TDS. Request the current TDS before ordering.
Applications
- Ready-mix concrete — standard structural grades where cost decides.
- Mass concrete — low air content and predictable setting suit large pours.
- Precast concrete — where very short demoulding cycles are not the priority.
- Price-tendered projects — improves competitiveness where either chemistry is permitted.
- Backup source — redundancy alongside an existing admixture supply arrangement.

Quality Control
Manufactured at a plant operating an ISO 9001:2015 / GB/T 19001-2016 quality management system whose certified scope includes naphthalene-based high-efficiency water reducers. View certificates.
- Batch testing before release, with COA issued per shipment
- Retention samples kept against each batch for later comparison
- Formulation versions recorded so samples and delivered goods can be matched
- National high-tech enterprise recognition held by the production base
Packaging & Delivery
- Packing: drums or IBC tanks; flexitank assessed against compatibility and handling conditions.
- Appearance acceptance: shade varies between batches and should be agreed as a criterion in the order.
- Loading: container net load calculated from actual density, tare weight, container type and road limits.
- Incoterms: quoted per order; FCA or FOB confirmed against actual delivery responsibility.
- Lead time: production time and transit time quoted separately after schedule confirmation.
Documentation Provided
- Batch COA
- Technical data sheet (TDS) in English
- Safety data sheet (SDS) in English
- Hazard identification testing record for transport classification
- Commercial invoice, packing list and shipment documents
Import clearance problems are usually documentation problems. We would rather overload you with paperwork than leave you short at the port.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this SNF product ready to dose?
Yes. It is supplied as a finished liquid dosed directly at the batching plant with no compounding step. Your required dosage still has to be established by trial using your own materials and conditions.
What is the appearance of the product?
A dark brown to black liquid, with some shade variation between batches. We state this openly because colour differences are sometimes mistaken for quality faults. Agree the acceptance criterion in the order specification beforehand and there is no ambiguity later.
Does this suit low-alkali specifications?
Usually not. The tested standard type reported 4.42% total alkali, well above typical PCE values. If your specification sets a low alkali limit or your aggregates are potentially reactive, mention it before sampling so we do not waste your laboratory time.
What is the minimum order quantity?
We offer either a small trial order the plant and carrier will accept, or a full container order with better unit economics. MOQ, packing and container load are confirmed against your destination port rather than quoted as a generic number.
Do you publish a price per tonne?
No. Pricing depends on packing, quantity, Incoterms and destination port, and it moves. Request a quote with validity period and terms via the contact page.
